Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Loopcut website, accounts, hosted model service and paid cloud tools (together, the “Service”), operated by Loopcut (“we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Loopcut application itself is open-source software. Its use is governed by the licence in its repository, not by these terms. You can use the application with your own API key or a local model without ever agreeing to these terms.

You need an account to use hosted models and cloud tools. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We ask you to confirm this once per account: when you sign in, connect the app, check out or confirm on your account page. Until an account has confirmed it, cloud tools refuse to run for it. Give us a working email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure. Each device you connect gets its own access token; revoke any you no longer recognise from your account page.

Hosted plans give you an allowance of model time in a 5-hour session window and a 7-day window, as described on the pricing page. When a window is used up, requests pause until it resets. On the free plan, hosted requests can also pause for the rest of the day when the free plan’s shared daily limit is reached. Allowances do not roll over. We may change which model sits behind Fast and Pro.

Paid plans (Pro and Max) are bought on loopcut.org through Stripe, billed monthly or yearly in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, with no fee; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. An upgrade raises your hosted-model allowance straight away. Moving from the free plan to a paid plan starts the paid plan’s monthly credits straight away, and free monthly credits you haven’t used last until that first paid credit period ends. Moving from one paid plan to another changes your monthly credits from the next credit period.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. While it is overdue the plan keeps its hosted-model allowance but adds no new monthly credits; they are added once the payment goes through.

Refunds are handled by hand. Write to us within 14 days of a purchase: if you have used less than 10% of the credits it added, we refund the payment in full through Stripe. Otherwise payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

Prices may change. We give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price rise affects an existing subscription, and a price change never applies to a job you have already approved. We may also change the number of credits a plan includes; a change applies from your next credit period.

Cloud tools (image generation and editing, image to 3D, remeshing, voice lines, sound effects and cloud render) are paid for with credits. The app shows which of them are available to you. One credit is US$0.01 at list price, and the app and website show prices in dollars. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.

• Each paid plan adds the credits shown on the pricing page at the start of every monthly credit period. Yearly plans are billed once a year and still receive their credits month by month.
• New accounts with a verified email address receive 100 trial credits when they sign in, once per account and email address. The trial can be delayed when many people sign up at once or from the same network; it is then given at a later sign-in.
• The free plan adds 100 credits at the start of every calendar month (UTC) to each account that has received the trial. The trial counts as the free credits for the calendar month it was given in, so the monthly credits start the month after.
• Monthly credits, from a paid plan or the free plan, last until the end of their credit period. Any you haven’t used by then expire; they don’t carry over.
• Top-ups (extra credits bought on top of a plan) need an active paid plan to buy. Top-up credits never expire while your account exists. Trial and promotional credits, including founding-member credits, do not expire.
• We spend monthly credits first, then top-up, trial and promotional credits.
• Every paid action shows its price before it runs, and jobs whose size varies, such as renders, get a quote first. The price or quote you approve is the most that job can cost.
• Starting a job holds its price from your balance. Failed work costs nothing, and its hold is returned automatically: a job fails when it errors, times out or gets stuck, or when the provider is down or refuses the request (for example, a content filter). If you cancel a job before it finishes, its whole hold is returned.
• If you run the same generation again (same tool, same request and the same input files) within 24 hours of a completed job, that second run is free, once per job. Generation tools are image generation and editing, image to 3D, voice lines, sound effects and motion from text.
• When your balance runs out, paid tools stop until you add credits. There are no overage charges and no automatic top-ups.
• If you cancel a plan, the credits already in your balance stay until they expire under these rules: top-up credits stay usable, and the last period’s plan credits last until that period ends. If you move to a smaller plan, you keep what you have, and the new monthly amount starts from the next credit period.

Cloud tools are run by third-party providers, listed with what each receives in the Privacy Policy. Private mode and the no-generation setting can make a tool unavailable for your account or project. We may add, change or withdraw tools; withdrawing one never takes credits you already have.

Use the Service for making things in Blender. Do not:

• share one account or its tokens across people or automate requests outside the application in a way that circumvents plan allowances;
• attempt to access other users’ data, probe or overload the Service, or interfere with its security;
• use the Service to break the law or the model and tool providers’ usage policies, or to generate content that is illegal;
• upload files you do not have the right to use, or use cloud tools to infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
• create sexual content involving minors, intimate imagery of a real person without their consent, or a voice or likeness that impersonates a real person to deceive others;
• use outputs to develop models that compete with the providers that made them, or try to extract, reverse engineer or decompile those providers’ models or the models inside our cloud tools;
• get around plan limits, Private mode, the age requirement or other safeguards;
• resell the hosted models or cloud tools, or present the Service as your own;
• use the motion tools or what they make for military, warfare or weapons-development purposes, the development or use of guns or illegal weapons, nuclear industries or applications, espionage or activities subject to the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations, or in breach of export controls or sanctions (conditions of the SAM License and the DINOv3 License, which cover Meta’s SAM 3D Body and DINOv3 inside motion from video).

We may rate-limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where practical we will warn you first.

Your scenes, files and everything you make with Loopcut are yours. You give us only the limited permission needed to run your requests and support you: to relay hosted-model requests to the model provider and stream the reply back, to store the files and results of cloud tool jobs for the periods in the Privacy Policy and send them to the provider that runs the tool, and, from app version 0.2.6 unless you turn sharing off, to keep logs of your conversations and the problem reports you send for 90 days, to help you, fix problems and improve Loopcut. Our gateway does not store the content of hosted-model requests, and we do not use your content, conversation logs included, to train models. Providers process it under their own terms.

As between you and us, the outputs of models and cloud tools are yours, and we assign to you any rights we have in them. We can pass on only the rights a provider gives us. Output may not be unique to you, may resemble output made for others, and may not be protected by copyright everywhere. Under ElevenLabs’ terms, sound effects it generates can also be licensed to its other users. It is your responsibility to check that what you ship is yours to ship.

The Service relies on Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, Cloudflare, third-party model providers and the providers that run cloud tools (OpenAI, fal and the model developers it runs, Google Cloud, ElevenLabs and RunPod). Their availability affects ours. Payments are subject to Stripe’s terms. If you sign in with Google, Google’s terms apply to that sign-in.

The motion tools run open models on our own workers: NVIDIA GEM-X and Kimodo under the NVIDIA Open Model License, Meta’s SAM 3D Body under the SAM License, Meta’s DINOv3 (the image backbone inside SAM 3D Body and the pose model) under the DINOv3 License, and Meta Llama 3 under the Meta Llama 3 Community License. Motion from text is built with Meta Llama 3. Using them means following Meta’s Llama 3 Acceptable Use Policy as well as these terms.

The application source is available under the licence in its repository. Contributions are welcome under that licence. “Loopcut” and the Loopcut mark identify this project; you may refer to the project by name but may not use the mark to suggest endorsement.

Blender is a trademark of the Blender Foundation. Loopcut is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Blender Foundation.

Loopcut writes and runs code in your Blender session on your instruction. Read what it proposes, keep the checkpoints it makes, and back up your files. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Model output can be wrong.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost work, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can close your account at any time by emailing us; cancel any paid plan first. We close accounts by hand, as the Privacy Policy describes, and unused credits are not refunded. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law, and may discontinue the Service with at least 30 days’ notice, refunding any prepaid period we do not deliver.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders and update the date above at least 14 days before they take effect. Using the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
