Loopcut

Loopcut for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor

Give your agent a render farm.

Your agent can already build the scene in Blender. Now it can render it on an RTX 4090 and bring the frames back, checked. The same connector finds free assets and makes 3D models, sound effects and voice lines. Plain Blender is enough, and it’s all paid from your Loopcut credits.

/plugin install loopcut --marketplace loopcut-ai/loopcut
claude · ~/work/chair
  1. > Render a 120-frame turntable of chair.blend in EEVEE and check the frames.

  2. ● loopcut · render_quote(blend: "chair.blend", engine: "eevee", turntable: {})

⎿ preparing: packed with Blender 5.2, uploading 31 files (48.6 MB)

  3. ● loopcut · render_quote(same arguments)

    ⎿ quoted · 120 frames · up to 65 credits ($0.65)

  4. ● It will cost 65 credits ($0.65) at most, and you pay only for the GPU time used. Start it?

  5. > go

  6. ● loopcut · job_start(quote_id: "qt_8f…")

    ⎿ job_kq2V… running · 4%

  7. ● loopcut · job_status(wait_seconds: 45)

    ⎿ running · 62%

  8. ● loopcut · job_status(wait_seconds: 45)

    ⎿ succeeded · charged 8 credits ($0.08)

  9. ● loopcut · job_status(job_id: "job_kq2V…")

    ⎿ 120 frames + qa_report.json → loopcut_renders/job_kq2V…/ · 0 flagged

  10. ● Done. I opened frames 1, 60 and 120: the chair stays in frame all the way round, and the QA report flagged nothing. Charged 8 credits ($0.08).

An example session. The quote is the service’s own estimate for these settings; the charge is the GPU time used, which depends on the scene.

Install

One line in the agent you already use.

It's an MCP server, so any agent that speaks MCP can use it. The first call opens a browser to sign in; after that the agent handles it.

Install the plugin inside Claude Code. It adds the tools and a skill that teaches the agent when to use each one.

claude code
/plugin install loopcut --marketplace loopcut-ai/loopcut

Or add only the MCP server, from a shell.

shell
claude mcp add loopcut -- uvx loopcut mcp

11 tools

Quote, start, get the files.

Small enough for an agent to learn from the tool list. Every paid tool quotes first, and the same job tools start, wait for and download everything. The plugin adds a skill with the habits that save money: asset search before generating, a low-resolution test frame before a long animation, and a look at the results before saying it’s done.

Tool reference

loopcut_loginSigns in or switches account. Any tool signs in by itself the first time.
loopcut_accountPlan, credit balance, Private mode, and which tools the account can use.
render_quotePacks the saved .blend with your Blender, uploads only what's new and prices the render. Free.
asset_searchSearches Poly Haven, ambientCG and Physically Based for models, materials, HDRIs and textures. Free, and it runs at once.
image_to_3dPrices a textured 3D model from a prompt, an image or both.
remeshPrices a cloud remesh: clean quads or triangles, with the textures baked onto the new mesh.
sound_effectPrices a sound effect from a description.
voice_linePrices a spoken line in one of eight voices, with your direction.
job_startStarts a quoted job. Calling it twice returns the same job, never a second charge.
job_statusWaits for the job, then downloads the results, hash-checked and resumable.
job_cancelStops the job and refunds the credits it didn't use.

Same credits

Everything else on the same balance.

The sign-in that pays for renders covers Loopcut's other cloud tools too. Each paid one quotes first, and every result comes back as a file the agent imports with Blender's Python.

Image to 3D model

$0.80 a model

A textured GLB from a prompt, a reference image or both, in a few minutes.

image_to_3d

Cloud remesh

From $0.05 a mesh

Clean quads or triangles at the face count you pick, with the textures baked onto the new mesh.

remesh

Voice line

$0.10 per minute

Narration and character lines as WAV files, in eight voices with your direction.

voice_line

Sound effect

$0.04 a take

Impacts, ambience and foley as WAV files, up to 30 seconds.

sound_effect

Asset search

Free

Free CC0 models, materials, HDRIs and textures, with the licence and download links. Worth a look before generating anything.

asset_search

Private mode, on by default for paid plans, keeps jobs away from providers that may train on what they receive. Today that turns off sound effects. Image generation and editing join the list when they open, with no update to install.

Built for agents

Not a render-farm dashboard.

Render farms are built for people with a browser open. This one is built for an agent in a terminal: plain JSON, prices before work, and nothing to click.

The price comes first

Quotes are free, and a quote is the most the job can cost. You're charged for the GPU minutes it actually used.

Plain Blender is enough

The scene is packed by the Blender you already have, running headless. No add-on, no app, no upload page.

Only new bytes upload

Every texture, library and cache is addressed by hash. Change one material and the next render uploads one file.

Frames come back checked

Each job returns a QA report that flags black, white, flat or transparent frames, fireflies, duplicate frames, exposure jumps between frames, so the agent looks at the frames that need it.

Turntables built in

Pass turntable: {} and a generated camera orbits the scene, or just the objects you name, once across the range. The frames loop.

Safe to retry

Every call returns within 50 seconds. Starting twice returns the same job, and downloads resume where they stopped.

Scripts and CI

The same verbs in a shell.

Render nightly turntables, or a whole shot list from a build. Create a key on your account page, set a credit ceiling, and the job starts only if the quote is under it.

shell
export LOOPCUT_API_KEY=lc_…
uvx loopcut \
  render shot.blend --frames 1-240 \
  --samples 256 --max-credits 500

Pricing

$0.05

per GPU-minute on an RTX 4090

5 Loopcut credits a minute, with a one-minute minimum per job. The same credits as everything else on your account: paid plans add them every month, and packs work on any plan. New accounts start with 100.

Free

Quotes, packing, uploads and the QA report. Failed jobs are refunded.

Capped

The quote is the most a job can cost. An optional daily limit on your account caps the rest.

Limits

2,000 frames a job, 4096² pixels a frame, 20 GiB a scene.

Blender 5.2

Cycles with OptiX, or EEVEE. Files from 5.2 and earlier.

Questions

Before you install.

Do I need the Loopcut app?
No. The connector packs the scene with any Blender install, headless. You need a Loopcut account for the credits and uv to run the connector.
Does it work with Blender MCP?
Yes. Blender MCP edits the scene in your open Blender. Save the file, and the agent renders that saved file with the Loopcut connector. Models and audio come back as files the agent imports the same way. The two don't overlap.
What does a render cost?
$0.05 per GPU-minute ($3 an hour) on an RTX 4090, with a one-minute minimum. The agent shows you the quote first, and the quote is the ceiling. New accounts get 100 free credits.
What if a job fails?
Its credits are refunded. Cancelling a running job refunds whatever it didn't use.
Will my drivers, scripts and add-ons run?
No. Python from the file never runs in the cloud: drivers with expressions, startup scripts and add-ons are off. Bake simulations and anything driven by scripts before you render.
What happens to my files?
Each job runs as its own user with no internet access. Uploads are kept for 7 days and results for 30 days after their last use, then deleted.
Can I use it from CI?
Yes. Create an API key on your account page, set LOOPCUT_API_KEY, and run the CLI with a credit ceiling: it starts only if the quote is under it.
Why can't my agent make sound effects?
Private mode is on. It's on by default for paid plans and keeps jobs away from providers that may train on what they receive, which today rules out sound effects. Turn it off in the Loopcut app, or run loopcut settings --private-mode off.

Let the agent finish the job.

From scene to frames without leaving the terminal.
