Loopcut

Claude and Blender

Cloud render and Blender tools for Claude.

Loopcut's connector lets Claude Code, Claude Desktop and claude.ai render a scene on an RTX 4090, find free assets, and make images, 3D models, character motion, voice lines and sound effects, paid from Loopcut credits. It doesn't control the Blender you have open, so it works next to the MCP servers that do.

/plugin install loopcut --marketplace loopcut-ai/loopcut
A low-poly campsite on a round island at dusk: a tent, a campfire and pine trees, rendered in Cycles on Loopcut's cloud
A headless Claude Code session rendered this campsite in Cycles through the Loopcut connector: one frame for 5 credits ($0.05).

What it does

What it does, and what it doesn't.

Claude builds the scene however you like. Loopcut renders it and makes what the scene needs.

Render

Claude renders a saved .blend on an RTX 4090 for $0.05 a GPU-minute, and the frames come back with a QA report. The quote is free and is the most the job can cost.

Cloud render

Generate and find

Asset search, images, 3D models, character motion, voice lines and sound effects. Each paid tool quotes first, and results come back as files Claude imports with Blender's Python.

Edit the scene you have open

Not this connector. MCP for Blender and the Blender Lab MCP server, the one behind Claude's Blender connector, run Python in the Blender you have open. Use one next to Loopcut.

Blender MCP compared

Install

Claude Code or Claude Desktop.

The local connector runs on your computer with uvx, so it can render a .blend you already have and send your own pictures and videos. The first call opens a browser to sign in.

Install the plugin inside Claude Code. It adds the tools and a skill that teaches the agent when to use each one.

claude code
/plugin install loopcut --marketplace loopcut-ai/loopcut

Or add only the MCP server, from a shell.

shell
claude mcp add loopcut -- uvx loopcut mcp

No install

Or add the connector on claude.ai.

Sign in with your Loopcut account and Claude gets asset search, images and 3D models from a prompt, voice lines, sound effects, motion from text and render, on the web, desktop and phone. Claude writes the scene as a Blender script and Loopcut builds and renders it, so there's nothing to upload.

On claude.ai, Claude Desktop or the Claude app: Customize, Connectors, + Add, Add custom connector. Name it Loopcut, paste this URL, then sign in with your Loopcut account. Free Claude plans allow one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it.

Questions

Can Claude work with Blender?
Yes, in two ways that work together. MCP for Blender and the Blender Lab MCP server (behind Claude's Blender connector) let Claude run Python in the Blender you have open. Loopcut's connector gives Claude cloud tools: render on an RTX 4090, asset search, images, 3D models, character motion, voice lines and sound effects.
How do I add Loopcut to Claude Code?
Run /plugin install loopcut --marketplace loopcut-ai/loopcut inside Claude Code. It adds the tools and a skill that teaches Claude when to use each one. To add only the MCP server, run claude mcp add loopcut -- uvx loopcut mcp from a shell. The first call opens a browser to sign in.
Does it work on claude.ai?
Yes. In Customize, Connectors, add a custom connector with https://loopcut.org/mcp and sign in with your Loopcut account. Free Claude plans allow one custom connector. A .blend you already have, your own pictures and videos need the connector on your computer, because that's where the files are.
Do I need Blender or the Loopcut app?
Not the app. The local connector packs the scene with any Blender install, running headless. The hosted connector needs no Blender at all.
What does it cost?
Installing it is free. Cloud jobs are paid with Loopcut credits (1 credit = $0.01) and quoted before they run. A render costs $0.05 per GPU-minute on an RTX 4090, with a one-minute minimum, and the free plan adds 100 credits every month.
Does Claude check the frames?
Each render comes back with a QA report that flags black, white, flat or transparent frames, fireflies, duplicate frames, exposure jumps between frames, so Claude looks at the frames that need it. On claude.ai, the quote comes with a small preview of the built scene, and finished renders attach their first and last frames when they're small enough.
