ChatGPT and Blender
Use your ChatGPT plan in Blender.
Loopcut is an open-source AI agent inside Blender. Sign in with ChatGPT and it runs on your Plus or Pro plan, with no charge from us. Or add Loopcut to the ChatGPT app as a connector, for assets, images, 3D models, voice, sound, motion and render in chat.
Two ways
Inside Blender, or inside ChatGPT.
They do different jobs. Use either one, or both.
Inside Blender
The Loopcut app
A Blender build with the agent built in. It edits the scene you have open, on your ChatGPT plan. ChatGPT Plus or Pro required; usage counts against your plan, never your credits.
Inside the ChatGPT app
The Loopcut connector
Loopcut's cloud tools in chat: asset search, images, 3D models from a prompt, voice lines, sound effects, motion from text and render from a Blender script. Paid from Loopcut credits, each priced before it runs.

- 01
Download Loopcut
Blender 5.2 with the agent built in, for Apple Silicon Macs and Windows. It installs next to your stock Blender and leaves its settings alone.
- 02
Sign in with ChatGPT
In Loopcut's preferences. ChatGPT Plus or Pro required; usage counts against your plan, never your credits. The conversation goes from Blender to OpenAI, never through our server.
- 03
Describe the job
Open a scene, press ⌘L (Ctrl+Alt+L on Windows) and say what you want in plain words. Loopcut reads the scene, shows the Python before it runs and checks the result in the viewport.
- 04
Add a Loopcut account, if you like
It adds asset search and 100 free credits a month for cloud services: render, images, 3D, voice and sound. Neither one pays for the other.
In the ChatGPT app
Or add Loopcut to ChatGPT.
The hosted connector needs nothing installed. Sign in with your Loopcut account, and ChatGPT can use these tools on the web, desktop and phone.
- 01
Add Loopcut as a custom MCP server
On chatgpt.com/plugins: +, Add custom MCP server. Paste this URL, choose OAuth, create it as a plugin, then sign in with your Loopcut account. Your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings decide whether custom servers are allowed.

Ask in chat
Ask for a model, an image, a sound or a render. Every paid tool returns a quote first and spends nothing until the job starts, and the quote is the most it can cost.
- 03
Download the results
They come back as download links that work for 1 hour: GLB models, PNG images, WAV audio and BVH motion, ready to import into Blender.

Questions
- Can I use ChatGPT inside Blender?
- Yes, with Loopcut, an open-source AI agent inside Blender. Sign in with ChatGPT and the agent runs on your plan: it reads your scene, writes Blender Python, shows it to you before it runs and checks the result in the viewport. ChatGPT Plus or Pro required; usage counts against your plan, never your credits.
- Do I pay Loopcut to use my ChatGPT plan?
- No. The agent on your ChatGPT plan needs no Loopcut plan. Loopcut credits (1 credit = $0.01) pay only for GPUs and services: render, images, 3D, voice and sound. A free account adds 100 credits a month.
- Which ChatGPT plans work?
- In Blender, ChatGPT Plus or Pro. In the ChatGPT app, your plan and workspace settings decide whether custom MCP servers are allowed.
- What's the difference between the app and the connector?
- The Loopcut app is the agent, inside Blender: it changes the scene you have open. The connector gives ChatGPT Loopcut's cloud tools in chat, and results come back as download links. In chat, render builds a new scene from a script; to render a .blend you already have, use the app, or the connector in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
- Where do my prompts go?
- On your ChatGPT plan, model requests go straight from Blender to OpenAI, never through our server. From version 0.2.6 the app also sends us a log of each conversation, never images or keys, unless you turn sharing off under Preferences › Add-ons › Loopcut. The privacy page has the details.
